Claudio Mota

Claudio J. A. Mota graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), where he also obtained his PhD in Chemistry. He is Full Professor and Director of the Institute of Chemistry of UFRJ and fellow of CNPq and Faperj. He is member of SBQ, SBCat, ACS and fellow of the RSC. He was awarded with the Technology Prize from ABIQUIM, the Innovation Prize and the Simão Mathias Medal from SBQ. He serves in the editorial boards of the JCOU, J. Catalysis and ACS Omega. His research interests are on biomass transformation and CO2 capture and conversion.
