Joshua A. Schaidle

Josh Schaidle leads NREL’s carbon management program and is the director of the Chemical Catalysis for Bioenergy (ChemCatBio) Consortium. He received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California-Santa Barbara in 2006, his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2011, and his Distinguished Leadership Certificate from the Ross Business School at the University of Michigan in 2020. He seeks to build and empower diverse, multi-disciplinary teams to accelerate technology development to address climate change. His dream is to create a future in which the quality of life for each and every person is no longer a compromise between sustainability and affordability.
